ABOUT ME!
"If you don't take risks, you'll end up working for someone who did." - My Life Motto
Tony Trieu is from a small town (Mansfield, TX) that resides just outside of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He is proud to be an Asian-American child of two immigrant parents who worked hard to get him to where he is now.
Tony's journey into Acting started during one of the most difficult times anyone would have to go through. After his father passed away, he fell into a deep state of depression and desire for isolation. He felt disconnected from the world, and in a way that was what he wanted at the time. That was until he found a light in storytelling. During the time when the Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) film was being released, he had always been a big Spider-Man fan/supporter, but it wasn't the film itself that brought Tony back to the world.
What fascinated him specifically was seeing how a singular film had the ability unite people from around the country. Seeing how stories could bring communities together, and spark new ideas reignited a spark within Tony that he had been missing for a while. The spark made him realize that the power of art can inspire and connect, something Tony started becoming really passionate about.
After finding passion, Tony started by becoming involved in his High School's theatre department. He began with his first production that he performed his Sophomore year of High School: The Jungle Book, in which he portrayed Akela.
After finishing his first role, this solidified Tony's passion for theatre and created a fire. This was the first time Tony ever felt so motivated to strive to become better.
Tony started using acting as a way to express what words couldn't. It was a way to transform thoughts into art that was meaningful.

As he grew his craft. Tony has started becoming a big advocate for Asian representation. As a Vietnamese/Asian-American, it's very important to him that diversity is seen among the performing arts. He believes everyone deserves the chance to be seen without being held back by stereotypes and hopes for a world where everyone can get the same chances as others not based off of their heritage. He believes every Asian has a voice and story to tell both on the stage and screen, and he hopes to be a significant part of the movement to amplify Asian voices.
For Tony, acting is not just an expression, but rather an art form that heals, connects, and inspires the next generation. Through his many performances, he hopes to tell stories that remind how important it is to share ones voice. Every story is a chance to show audiences that they're not truly alone in how they feel.
He continues to train, perform, and aim to tell stories that bring people together the same way film and theatre once did for him when he needed it most.
Tony is now based in the heart of Austin, TX and is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A) in Acting for Stage & Screen at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX.
